The Postnatal Doula Academy Scholarship

P Circle_resize.png

Inclusivity and social justice runs through the heart of The Postnatal Doula Academy.

There is a diversity issue in the doula community. We need more Postnatal Doulas that represent the rich tapestry of families of the UK. Times are changing, and we must make sure that there are doulas for everyone who gives birth.

One scholarship is offered as part of each intake of Academy students.

In order to be eligible for The Postnatal Doula Academy Scholarship you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be black, indigenous or a person of colour;

  • Be part of the LGBTQ+ community;

  • Be from a low income household (earning less than £18,000 a year);

  • Be a refugee or current asylum seeker and/or;

  • Be someone with a disability.

The scholarship covers the full cost of the foundation course and membership to the Academy.

To apply for the scholarship, simply complete the application form and tick the box asking if you wish to be considered for the scholarship. Grace will be in touch with you once you've submitted your application.

The scholarship recipient will be announced Friday 20th May (intake one) and Friday 7th October (intake two).
