About the workshop
Ever wondered what influence culture has had on infant sleep and how we’ve ended up where we are with it today? Do you want to find out what some of the key ‘red flags’ are in infant sleep that we need to be aware of as postpartum professionals?
Lyndsey Hookway, an experienced paediatric nurse, children’s public health nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Holistic Sleep Coach and birth trauma recovery practitioner, will be sharing her expertise with you about both of these issues in The Sleep Masterclass.
You’ll hear about how and why sleep modifications came to be, as well as the impact they have had on both parents and infants.
You’ll learn Lyndsey’s six sleep ‘red flags’, how we can support clients to get the right support and do it with a whole heap of compassion. During the two-hour masterclass, you’ll have chance to ask questions, too.

Lyndsey has worked in hospitals, clinics, the community and within clients’ homes for 20 years, serving within the UK NHS, in private practice and voluntarily. The co-founder and clinical director of the Holistic Sleep Coaching program, Lyndsey regularly teaches internationally, as well as providing mentorship for newer sleep coaches and aspiring IBCLCs.
She is passionate about responsive feeding, gentle parenting and promoting parental confidence and well-being.
Lyndsey is a published author, and she regularly speaks out against the dominant sleep training culture, as well as advocating for the rights of families to receive high-quality, compassionate and expert lactation and respectful, responsive parenting support.
